Choc-Oat-Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup 2 sticks margarine or butter, softened
- 1¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp optional salt
- 2½ cup quick or old fashioned, uncooked Quaker Oats
- 1 pkg 12 oz, 2 cups Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1 cup optional coarsely chopped nuts
Method
- Heat the oven to 375 degrees F. Beat the margarine and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add the flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in the oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well.
- Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on the cookie sheet; remove to a wire rack. Cool completely.
Notes
Makes about 5 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies.
