Buffalo Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 30 chicken wings (about 5 lbs)
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- vegetable oil
- 6 tbsp butter or margarine
- 6 tbsp use more or less according to taste hot pepper sauce
- blue cheese dressing
- celery and carrot sticks (zucchini, etc.)
Method
- Cut off the small tip from each wing. Cut each wing into 2 pieces. Wash and dry.
- Combine flour, salt and pepper in a paper bag. Dredge the wings.
- Place in oil in a heavy skillet to a depth of 1 inch. Heat oil to 350 degrees and fry wings until golden brown and crisp. Drain well.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the hot sauce. Pour over the wings. Cover and shake until wings are evenly coated.
- Serve on a platter with vegetable sticks and blue cheese dressing for dipping.
