Soups And Sauces
3 ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup currant jelly
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp pumpkin-pie spice

Method

  1. Combine the currant jelly, lemon juice and pumpkin-pie spice in a small saucepan. Heat, stirring constantly, just until well-blended.
  2. To glaze a ham: When ready to heat, place the ham in a large shallow baking pan. Bake in a slow oven (325 degrees) 2 hours; spread part of the currant glaze over the top. Continue baking, basting with more glaze, 30 minutes longer, or until the ham is richly glazed. Place on a heated serving platter; cut away strings. Garnish with a crown of marzipan fruits and halved pecans, and frame with watercress.

Notes

Clipping. Makes about 1 cup. Excellent on fresh pork as well as other pork.
