Pork Chow Mein
Ingredients
- ½ lb pork loin, thinly sliced
- ½ cup carrots, sliced thin
- ½ cup celery, sliced thin
- 1 small onion, sliced thin
- ½ cup sliced bamboo shoots
- ½ cup waterchestnuts, sliced
- ½ cup Oriental dried mushrooms, soaked in water until soft; sliced
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 2 cup bok choy, sliced
- 2 pkg Top Ramen chow mein or pork flavored noodle soup mix
- 2 tbsp oil
Method
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok or skillet. Stir-fry the pork until just brown. Add all the vegetables, stirring after each addition.
- Add the flavoring packets from the noodles, and 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Make a well in the middle and place the noodles in the liquid. Cover and simmer about 2 minutes until the noodles break apart easily.
- Stir and cook 1 minute until the noodles are tender. Garnish with chopped green onion.
Notes
Serve with soy sauce. Serves 2-4. From Rosauers (Pork PK-41).
