6 ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fat-free, low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 4 tsp 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon honey

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Place the cornstarch in a small dish and stir in the balsamic vinegar to make a paste. Crush any lumps of cornstarch with your finger or the back of a spoon.
  2. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the boiling broth, making sure to add all the cornstarch mixture. Stir with a whisk or fork until the mixture thickens, about 30 seconds. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the Dijon mustard, cider vinegar and honey. Pour into a jar with a tight-fitting lid and chill completely before using.
